Layers on a timeline — images, text and shapes, each with its own motion.
Drag a layer on the stage to move it, corners to resize, the handle above it to rotate. On the timeline drag a clip sideways to move it in time, up or down to change track (clips on one track can't overlap; drop it above the top row for a new track), its ends to trim; the striped parts are the entrance and exit. Click the ruler to scrub. Space play · Del delete · Ctrl Z undo · Ctrl D duplicate · Ctrl B split · arrows nudge.
A template lays out placeholder layers with the motion and timing already set. Double-click a dashed picture box to drop your own PNG in, edit the words, done. Current layers are replaced.
The GIF plays from the layer's start and loops for as long as the layer is on screen. Entrance, loop and exit motions, keyframes and effects all apply on top.
The entrance plays from the layer's start, the exit finishes at its end, and the loop runs in between (and underneath both). Lightning loops strike this layer.
